Metro is available only in Brussels. There is a standard flat-fare system ( single ticket Eur 1,40), with discounts for 5 (Eur 6,20) and 10-journey (Eur 9.00) tickets, One-day tickets (Eur 3,59 valid 12hours) and multi-mode tourist travelcards.  All are available at various metro stations and newspaper kiosks.

 

Taxis

 

are available at Taxi stands or at entrance of hotels. The price of the trip is displayed on the meter, including the service charge. The minimum charge is Eur 2,35 in daytime and Eur 4,21 at night. The average price per KM (0.621 miles) is Eur 2,00 except in Brussels Eur 1,00. Taxi from/to the Airport to/from Brussels center: average Eur 27,27 - discount for advance purchase of a roundtrip to/from Airport from/to Hotel offer by taxis carrying a orange sticker with a white airplane on their windshield.

 

Train

 

dense train network connects all of Belgium. National and international passes are available at major train stations in Belgium. Seat reservations are not available on Belgian trains (except for groups). The price of a round-trip ticket is double the price of a one-way ticket. The one-way trip or the outward trip of a return trip ticket must be made on the date shown on the ticket. The return must be made on the same day. First class and second class available.
